Q:
I've been in an accident; what do I do?
A: Call us first. Our staff will walk you
through the entire process. From communicating with your insurance company
and towing your vehicle to scheduling your repair and providing you
with a car to drive while yours is with us for repairs.
Q:
How many estimates do I need?
A: The law does not require you to get
more than one estimate. The insurance company has their own appraisers
to verify any estimate you receive.
Q:
I don't feel the accident was my fault. Can I pursue the other party's
insurance company?
A: Absolutely! Ken's Body Shop will work
hard to assist you in processing your claim through the other party's
carrier. If this is the case you may not have to be concerned with paying
a deductible, any rental car costs or premium increases.
Q:
What if the insurance estimate is lower than yours? Do I have to pay
the difference?
A: NO. You do not have to pay the difference
between the two appraisals. Quite often the insurance estimate is lower
than ours. The insurance company may not know where you are going for
the repair and therefore will write for only the most basic repair procedures.
It is our job, once your vehicle is in for repair, to contact the insurance
appraiser and negotiate the claim on your behalf.
Q:
Do you provide a loaner vehicle?
A: In many situations, the insurance company
will furnish a rental car. We also will provide a loaner vehicle under
certain circumstances. Please ask for details.
Q:
How can I pay for the repairs?
A: We accept insurance checks, money orders,
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, personal checks (no more
than $500) and cash.
